About ChengDu
With a city history of 2,300 years, Chengdu is one of the first historically and culturally famous cities nominated in China and a permanent venue for China International Festival of Non-material Cultural Heritage. Chengdu is a World Tourism Organization nominated gateway tourism city in Western China and the best tourism city in China, with myriad tourism attractions being located in and around it, including the World Cultural Heritage site- the ancient Dujiangyan water preservation system and Taoist Mount Qingcheng, the World Natural Heritage sites- Jiuzhai Valley (Valley of Nine Tibetan Villages) & Huanglong, and the habitat of giant pandas.
